The water is not getting hot enough on this dishwasher. Originally the water jug was leaking from the seal and i took it a part and resealed it. Now the heater will only come on for a short while and then the heater relay switches it off – is it a faulty heater relay? or something else?

Don’t get many miele dishwashers in!

    Any help greatly appreciated

Hard to know, is there an NTC in circuit? If NTC was faulty it may be giving a signal to P.C.B that its already achieved temp’. Relays have been prone to bad contacts & sometimes sticking.

Thanks Seamy for your reply. I’ve ordered a new heater relay so we will see if that cures it. But getting Miele parts is not easy, in the end i had to order the part from Germany on ebay – just hope it arrives!

Would appreciate a heads up on where to get Miele parts in the uk in future if anyone knows, because i searched all over for that part?

let me think now……Miele maybe? 08453656605

do you have plenty of water pressure through the arms? a blocked pump impellor can cut the pressure down that the pressure stat wont click.

Thanks for the telephone number eastlmark. No the wash arms are whirling round fine, plenty of pressure. But just wondering if the repair to the flow meter has anything to do with the heater being switched off prematurely?

Flow meter counts the litres of water entering appliance, when circulation pump motor starts it should put up enough pressure to activate high pressure switch that controls whether heater comes on or not. If there was a blockage in impellor obviously the pressure would drop & heater would stop. Not to difficult to split the pump & check for impellor blockage.

IME flow meter problems show up within seconds of the initial fill, way before the circ pump should start.
