ParticipantI bought my Miele G1143sc dishwasher in July 2009, and it’s loved but is old school – that is, there is no digital display showing fault codes.
I’ve just replaced “HoseA” si senor 🙂 – that is the Inlet (Aquastop) hose and I’ve removed and cleaned the Drain hose. I’ve also replaced the non-return valve. Alas, this hasn’t fixed the problem. So I am still getting the Inlet / Drain warning light flashing then becoming solid. Then the machine tries many times to start but fails and eventually gives up.
I’d really like to fix this and, having replaced the Inlet hose I feel comfortable dismantling the machine if necessary. I dunno what more I can try but I would really appreciate any tips.

ParticipantDave,
Does the attached video answer your questions or suggest anything I can try next?
Although the video is only 5 minutes, this “cycle” of six flashes of the red Inlet-Drain light continued but I turned the Miele G1143sc off after 20 minutes. By then, the water level filled the sump and was just about above the mesh that’s part of the “lid” holding the funnel shaped filter in place.

ParticipantA person has seen my vid on Youtube and has left a comment that the problem may be a Flow Meter. This took me to an earlier post, which I hadn’t seen, on UK Whitegoods forum, as attached below.
Do you think a Flow Meter is the likely issue. If so, it may be BER (..beyond economic repair) if it needs a new circuit board.

Moderatoryes that was what i was working up to
the reed switch counts the water in, so many pulses per litre. If this fails the computer knows its turned the valve on but get no pulses
take the left side off. watch it, if water is coming in and the light comes on then change the reed sw.
you can either go to miele or find a suitable reed switch and solder it inDave
