miele dryer

we bought a miele dryer second hand which was originally from 2006 , that makes it now almost 16 years old but the water tank container light which indicates when full doesn’t seem to lit up when full so sometimes we just see a big puddle of water all over then empty the water out. Anyone know what issue is? Of course this machine is long out of warranty so not worth going down that route and also not worth paying a miele engineer to come out to fix or look at.

could be a stuck float if that how they detect the water

if you post a model then can look at parts breakdown to see what controls it
