Hi, My Miele dishwasher G1270SCVI is showing fault code F70 and the pump keeps running until the appliance is switched off at the mains. I have googled and identified the float switch has been activated. With the machine off at the mains I have been able to feel under the machine and locate the float switch and water. Once I have dried the water I am able to run a programme again but it always alarms and displays F70. I have checked the filter area and notice the non return valve has a very small hairline crack and the washer thing appears to be soft and broken. Do you think by replacing the non return valve my problem will be solved?
It is about 10 years old and not with any warranty, I do not want to call out Miele for an expensive repair if it is something I can do myself and if it is something more expensive we would consider replacing it due to its age.
    Any advice gratefully received! 😕

you have leak. you have to run the machine with the sides off and look for it

when you have found it you can try to fix it

Hi Dave, Could the leak be a slow one from a perished washer and small hairline crack in the non return valve which is situated near the filter?
    Thanks,
    Penny

Just an update, for your info I changed the non return valve and used the dishwasher on a different shorter programme. Although there continued to be water underneath for a while this gradually stopped and the programme ran successfully. It seems to have dried out and I am now able to use the longer programmes as well so problem solved. Thanks for your help it just cost me the price of the non return valve and a little time!
