Miele FLA | WDB020 | Dead, no LED’s

Miele washing machine,
WBD020
5 years old.
Dead, no power, no LED’s/selection.
Voltage through Mains and into Power Module.

Presuming the power module (bottom right when viewed from back of machine) is faulty. Couldn’t see any obvious signs of damage on this module though.

Any history on these of component failure corrupting module, or top selection module faulting?

Customer wants it repaired and module is over £360.00.

Looking for reassurance I’m not throwing money away ordering that expensive module! 😀

also for once Aswo seem to be cheaper than Miele direct

No Dave, no pictures. I did visually inspect the board and didn’t see anything obvious.

first thing on any board is to look for fuses. a lot of fuses on miele dont look like standard ones as they are soldered in

next look for bigger low value resistors. these resistors normally under 100 ohm do 2 jobs. A) the reuduce current surge on switch on and B) they act as fuses

have you tried QER as he is still going as far as i know
