Called to the above machine, not draining.

Easy I thought when taking the call!

Pump refused to run, it turns out I am not getting a neutral back from the control board. The loom metres out OK.

Is there any reason other than a fault on the PCB that could be causing this.

The customer has some builders in and thinks they put it outside (covered) in the pouring rain) which could be the cause.

I am almost certain this has to the the PCB but at a cost of £373.08 (don’t you love Miele prices) I want to be 110{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} sure.

Have you tried to supply the pump with power to see if it runs?
I keep a cable with insulated crimp tags on one end & a plug-top with 3A fuse for testing the like of this. Some of these pumps have temp’ cut outs built in to the windings so pump could actually be open circuit. You could try to bring a permanent neutral from another source see if it would work, it should still gets its phase supply when needed from board.

I haven’t done this but I have checked for a live and neutral at the pump. I have a live but no neutral.
