    Hi,

    I’m looking for advice please!

my Miele undercounter freezer has been leaking underneath. My floorboards have rotted before I realised!

I defrosted it but when I switched it back on it kept dripping. Ive turned it off again and it’s still dripping, very slowly.

I’ve read lots of suggestions to look for the drip tray but there is no access to anything inside the freezer – it’s completely sealed. Nothing anywhere where I can get into the freezer.
There is no pipe anywhere at the back that looks like a drip tray pipe, only electric and coolant pipes. I took off the heating element to look, but there was nothing behind it.

The liquid appears to be coming out of the base- I thought at first it was condensation as the base was very cold but there are some x-shaped holes in the base (which is made of a foil insulating cars- type material, it feels soft and soggy).

Is there anything else anyone can suggest?
Sorry there is no model number – freezer is just called a Miele electronic freezer.
    Thanks in advance.
    Lucy

    Were I too bet…

It’s a very old unit and the insulation has broken down and that’s condensation.

If I am correct, it’s terminal.

Thanks for reading and letting me know your thoughts. I’ve given the freezer to someone who needed a semi-outdoor one and bought another 🙂
