    Hi,
    I have a problem with my MIELE fridge freezer model KFN12924sd
    it keeps freezing up in the very bottom of the freezer .I suspect that it probably is the thermostat that has failed but would like this confirming .
    I also would like to know if the fridge and the freezer have separate stats and where it or they are situated . I’d be very grateful for any advice .

    Perhaps the fan is defective, have you heard it running recently?
    If not circulating cold air it tends to drop to lowest point & shows as excessive frost on bottom of freezer.
    There are separate sensors in each cavity.

    Do a total defrost & see if it cures it.

    Thank you Seamy I will try that by switching it off for 24 hours with the doors open . Hopefully it will cure it .
