Miele fridges?

I am looking at purchasing a Miele K8652SD. I already have a Miele washing machine and tumble dryer, both of which are excellent. I have looked through the forums and see Miele fridges recommended. Are they truly worth the money? I can justify paying for my other appliances as there does seems to be more of a reliability issue with these types of products but a fridge just seems to ‘sit there’. Also I am looking at purchasing a new freezer, is there a problem with putting one in a conservatory?

Freestanding Miele refrigeration is excellent quality.

A freestanding freezer will be fine in a conservatory – it’s combi fridge/freezers which are particularly sensitive to wide temperature variations. Still bet if doesn’t get too cold……..

Just think we should point out that Miele dont actualy make their own refrigeration products. they are sourced from another manufacturer, still a good quality product though.

miele refrigeration is made by leibherr and branded miele.

they will require a abient temprature of minimum of 15oc some even state 18oc so if put in conservatory be carefull during cold period.also placed here during hot periods they will also get too hot and fail.

did you know more units branded miele come out of the factory then leibherr

Thanks for your information. Interesting to find out Miele do not manufacturer their own fridges. The fact that some manufacturers make kit for others and then rebadge is common knowledge. I cannot find any reference to Miele saying they do this and likewise Liebherr do not seem to mention it. It seems to me that they should inform the customer. Whilst I am sure Liebherr are excellent manufactureres of heavy industrial products can the same be said of their fridges. It begs the question is the Liebherr fridge as good as a Miele, because if so the Liebherr K3150 fridge which seems to be about the same as the Miele is £60 cheaper than the Miele.
