The Dishwasher was in the house when we bought it. We expect it is 10 years old.
The previous owners plumbed in another dishwasher. We think that is because the Miele did not work properly.

Since moving in we always got a calcium like residue after the wash. Salt and rice aid have been used as per the instructions. My friend who works for Miele said that the it could be a crack in the softer housing and not wort the the fix.

We struggled on spraying white wine vinegar pre-wash that seemed to help.

12 months on; looks like the water return valve had perished, water draining pump stays on and does not drain and there is an electrical burning smell coming from the control panel.
All the lights come on and there is a beeping that we can not reset.

The question is: Do we look at what could be an expensive repairs of an old Miele or replace with a Bosh / AEG / Electrolux

We have heard that the bosh have a plastic bottom not stainless steel.
    Budget is £450.

I can’t comment on the repair side TBH.

All Bosch series 2 dishwashers have the Polyinox base everything from series 4 and up will have a full stainless steel tank.
