Miele G1222SC heating problem

HI all, first post, many thanks in advance for any help offered.

Machine is Miele G1222SC dishwasher, had about 8 years, very good service, now seems to not be heating water. Dishes are very much wetter than normal when finished and does not seem to heat up the water during the cycle. I presume the heater and or thermostat has broken.

Can anyone advise where I can buy these? Do Miele restrict the sale of these? I cannot find anywhere available on the net.

Also can anyone point me to instructions to fit. I am not an electrician but am very handy at DIY and will be able to do the job with instructions. I dont really want to pay an engineer £80 – £150 to fit it when I can relatively easily do it myself. Dont mind buying a new heater but with fitting it would tip me to just buy a new machine.

miele do not restrict parts but they are expensive so you have to be sure of the part you require
