Miele D/W G1530 SC

Customer complains of poor wash results, cloudy glasses and cutlery, and that the ‘spray arm’ LED illuminates.

I visited the machine and sat through a 40C quickwash, the machine funtioned perfectly. No LED’s were illuminated and the circulation was fine, no blockages in any ofthe arms.

I guess it is possible for the spray arm to have been blocked from turning, but i think this unlikely as the customer has had this problem more than once recently.

I suspect the water softening unit to be causing the cloudy finish, (very, very hard water area) but i am confused as to why the ‘spray arm’ LED is illuminating?

Please can someone advise me as to what the ‘spray arm’ LED indicates?

The spray arm light indicates middle spray arm not turning, the middle spray arm has a small magnet in one end that sends pluses to a switch mounted in the detergent dispenser each time it passes by.
It could be customer has loaded an item stopping spray arm turning, spray arm could need cleaning or the circulation pump has a diverter that alternates water feed from top middle/spray arms to lower spray arm and this could be sticking. clayside
