miele g2870 salt reservoir

Hi all
hoping someone has had this fault before as being a miele part definitely don’t want to order a miele part incorrectly!

Salt reservoir warning alarm comes on during cycle,has anybody had to replace the salt reservoir before (its located on the door next to the soap dispenser)

I’d try filling 1kg of salt in first, be aware that salt empty warning light normally will not go out till end of cycle after its been refilled.

THANKS seamy! Will give that a try .customer has just told me that they had problems with the flap …i’ve got a suspicion i’ll need to replace the salt unit.
