ParticipantHi,
I bought a Miele G5300 SC 3 years ago. Used it for 6 months and then moved to a new place. The cabin space under the kitchen bench was too low which prevented me from installing the dishwasher.
It has spent the last 2 and a half years just sitting around in my garage. Just recently I was able to modify the bench to allow space for the Miele dishwasher. Once install I attempted to test it by running a trial wash.
The dishwasher attempts to fill with water then stops then tries again and repeats over and over. The intake/drain LED flashing red. I also notice the washer drains successful once the washer is filled with water however it never starts the wash cycle.
below is a video on youtube which simulates my problem.

1) Tested the intake valve and it seems to be working. I remove protective cap to the inlet valve and released the water pipe. Then turned on dishwasher and ran a test cycle. Water is flowing out of inlet valve at a pretty good rate.
2) Remove motor to check for foreign objects that potentially may cause the impeller to jam. Did not find anything. Also rotated impeller to ensure it is not binding up. impeller seems to be rotating freely.
3) Suspected that flow meter is not registering pulse. Attempted to run a magnet by flow meter to simulate pulse but no success.
4) Obvious checks for kinked hose and blacked hose both clear.I’m was wondering if anyone else is experiencing a similar problem and what you did to fix it.
Thanks for reading my post hope someone can shade some light on this. 🙂

Just for those that maybe experiencing the same issue. I ended up replacing the reed switch attached to the flow meter and now all is working well. Thank you all that read my post and provided assistance.
