    Hi guys,

Dishwasher just coming to the end of its wash, and the display showed F24 fault, which from what i could find is the heater relay.

Popped the bottom panel off and found what i thought was the heater relay but descriptions (even on the Miele site) describe it as being a “Electronic unit”

E-spares list it as being a water intake electronic unit.

The part listed is EZL 517-A but i am not convinced it is the correct path, even though on the miele spares site i cannot find anything described as a ‘heater relay’.

    Thanks!

could be the correct part as its described here

    https://www.appliancespares.nz/products/miele-dishwasher-heater-relay-pcb-board-9053390

    with the gen part no

it will or should be cheaper to direct from Miele

you can test it and if one of the relays are stuck you may be able to source and repalce it a lot cheaper

cant confirm its the right one for you machine as i cant see it on Miele diagrams

    Thanks Dave,

It is on the Miele diagram on Page 8 (090 Water Run Inner Cabinet)

    https://www4.miele.de/msd/MSD#/device/43239/etd/1899115279108/

    Item number is 120

Ok as an update to this, the fault only seems to show near the end of the cycle so i am assuming it is the heater relay as this seems to be when it is during the drying process?

a bit odd as i would expect a relay failure not to go away

if it was me i would do an insulation test on the element when hot

sometimes if the element is leaking to earth it can upset electronic controls on some machines

    Thanks again Dave,

The testing is a bit beyond my remit!

i think ill order the relay as that is fairly easy to swap out but if that doesn’t cure, ill give someone a call.
