I cleaned the sieve of the water tap connector, checked for blockages, cleaned the area where the water is expelled (rotated the metal clip sideways, take out the plastic piece). All is clean.
After 1 minute of running the water intake light shows up and the water covers the whole of the dishwasher – short of flowing over the barrier under the door.
When resetting / restarting the water is pumped out completely (I checked by interrupting the cycle) and fresh water is taken in. When the washer is completely full it stops with the Inlet/Outlet light lit. I tried 10 times.
What I also did: I increased the water-intake time as per manual on p56, even though the water pressure is about 2 bar. It did not help as the water inlet flows freely and (so it seems) is stopped when the dishwasher is completely full. I then reset it to normal inlet timing. Neither worked.
After the previous time it happened I did the same procedure (extending time and then reducing) and after trying 5 times in the “increased time mode” the dishwasher went over the problem for about 100 washes. Now it has stopped again.
I could be the motor, but why is the inlet/outlet light on? After all, it empties completely and fills completely. Help!
PS: are there any other secret button sequences like the one on p56? There I press 1 and 3 while switching on. LED 2 shows if extended timing is set. Then 3-6-6 both to increase and reduce time (LED 2 tells you what it is set to at the moment). Surely there are other codes?

“Circulation Pump freed with tool but tight/squeal.”
Can that be the problem even though the inlet/outlet light is on? If yes, how do I repair that? The pump is over £300 and I wonder why it gave up?

I removed the lower plinth at the front (easy when the decorative part (wooden piece) of the door is off or when the dishwasher is on its side).
The only pump accessible from the front is the one draining the water away. That moved freely as I could turn the thing that looks like a fan.
I could not see much else so I put the dishwasher on its side and removed the bottom plate (easy). Then I saw the big motor at the back of the dishwasher (part 4998101 nbr 992526 F, type 31-62/2 -02-) but had no clue on how I could turn it to remove the seizure. All the movable parts were shielded.
That is when I gave up as the next step seems to be loosening the wire that holds the plastic basin (visible from inside the washer) against the metal, by going all around the circumference of that plastic. It seems that then I can remove the 3 hoses that
are attached to that motor and get access. This is not trivial as I was not sure I can put it all back together.How can I test if the motor is seized and then fix it? Can I turn it somewhere?

Well, there seem to be more takers than givers in this forum. I had to work it out myself with the help of a Miele engineer (cost me the call-out fee 🙁 ).
This is how to fix a seized circulation pump:
Lay the dishwasher on its left side (remove water first)
Open 4 screws of the bottom plate and remove
Unplug the cables under the pump (motor)
Remove screw at the back of the DW that holds the motor
Use pliars to remove 3 rubber hoses from the motor (2 will do actually)
Pull the motor towards you on the left side and it should come out (it looks impossible but works)
Put it on a flat surface with the part that was at the back of the DW facing down (pull the plastic off if still attached)
Try to turn the plastic coupler on top of the motor – it should move freely with only moderate resistance
If it appears seized or hard turning spray WD40 onto the plastic, into the hole on the side and the bearings at the bottom of the motor.
Wait and try to turn the plastic coupler as before; it should be better now – if not then repeat the steps.
Re-assemble the motor in reverse order
Re-attach the bottom plate – turn DW upright and testIf you like this description then send money to cancer research or write up yourself a useful work instruction.
