first of all this machine works perfectly on prewash.

when selecting a main wash cycle it performs normally i.e.
drains-fills- sprays-opens soap box-heats-drains- fills to rinse- sprays and drains again- NOW IT FILLS TO DO FINAL RINSE AND STARTS SPRAYING, THE RINSE AID SOLENOID CLICKS AND AFTER A COUPLE OF SECONDS IT STOPS WITH THE FILL/DRAIN LIGHT FLASHING, and the clean rinse water in the tub. the base is not flooded. if i switch off and reset the cycle it will run to exactly the same point and stop again.

please any ideas.

the only thing i could find out of the ordinary was that the fan housing drain pipe was clogged. of course cleaning it out made no difference.
