i’ve been out to a miele g679sc-vi-2 dishwasher. the program lights 1-5 are all flashing. found the flood protection had been activated due to a leak from the flow meter. i’ve replaced the flow meter but the lights are still flashing. has anybody any idea’s? or better still any fault codes

Have you fitted a new Reed Switch or just taken old one out & put it back?
I’ve found its sometimes difficult to get then seated correctly for the magnet to move the switch.
Also check you haven’t pulled the cable off the Electronic board.
If Electronic doesn’t receive any pulse from reed sw’ it usually gives an Inlet Fault.
    Is this what you get?

HAVE REPLACED FOR A NEW AS HAVE TRIED TO REPAIR ON PREVIOUS APPLIANCES AND FOUND IT ONLY WORKED FRO A WEEK. CONNECTIONS OK ON MODULE. APPLIANCE DOESN’T EVEN START. SWITCHES ON OK BUT SOON AS YOU TRY TO SELECT A PROGRAM THATS WHEN THE LIGHTS START TO FLASH. DONT EVEN GET ENOUGH TIME TO CLOSE THE DOOR.

just spoke to customer. they had miele out and as i suspected i had solved the problem, it just needed a combination of buttons to be pressed to clear fault (cust couldn’t tell me what buttons). 😡 gutted as i tried loads of combinations but obvousley not the correct ones. thanks for any suggestions. one to look out for
