ParticipantHope someone can give me advice on above model.
This model had the drain/inlel light flashing. Found water in base triggering flood protection. Cleaned water out and tried but same fault. I dont know if there is a test program for this model?
Does the usual, pump runs for a minute, then briefly the wash motor then the fault comes on.The fault light flashed 5 times then pause then 5 times and on.
Hope someone can assistBrian

ParticipantIf you can let me have your email address and I will send you what info I have got.
My initial guess would be that it is the pressure switch on the side of the motor (it seems to be the one part that I have to change more than anything else on these).

ParticipantHi Jem
Thanks for replying. Email sent.Would have thought it would fill tho, even if the pswitch on the side of the motor faulty, I would guess thats the one to supply heater?

Moderatorbut if there is water getting inside the switch area you dont know what it can do to the electronics so its worth a check

ParticipantAssuming that it is the mainly oblong pressure switch (with rounded ends) and six wires then the module looks for both halfs of the switch to show empty before it will allow it to fill.
Check your email as you should have mail.

ParticipantHi, just an update for those that helped out. The pressure switch off the motor is I suspect a high prssure switch, it looks has the same appearance of usual switch, round with 3 wires.
I cant really test it as it needs the high pressure of the pump.
I have brought the dw into the workshop and will continue with it there.
Thanks again for taking the time to helpBriam

ParticipantThe one on the side of the motor is usually used for signalling that there is water flow through the element, it usually has a no pressure output and a high pressure output.
Thinking about it (don’t know if it helps or is just a red herring) – I had one machine with the round switch which had an earth leak on it which cause it to take out one resistor on the PCB, I replaced the resistor and the switch and all was well.Jem

ParticipantUpdate
Turns out there is a fault on the board. Blown track going to fill valve via pressure switch, have repaired the track and now fills constantly. This would be why there was water in the base.
Checked and found the relay supplying the valve stuck closed. I tried but cannot find a relay for this as the marking are unreadable.
Anyone got any lying around or know the part number.
And then to check and see why track blew and also welded relay contacts closed. Thanks All

Moderatorneed a very good photo of the board and other relays around the blown one ( you will have to host off site and post public link )
of look at other relays as the chances are they all work at the same voltage

ParticipantNever thought there would be an advatage to being short sighted. These days I just take the glasses off to do pcb work.
