Miele G692SE Plus 3 Fill Problem

Above machine starts the program by filling fine for a few seconds, then stops and fill/drain light flashes. After a couple more seconds the light turns solid and the machine starts to fill again. this cycle continues about 5 times then the machine just sits with the light flashing.
Base is bone dry and have checked the flowmeter reed switch operates with a magnet, and it seems to be pulsing on and off with the water flow.
Disconnecting the flow meter makes no difference.
Have checked all connections are tight and am getting voltage at flowmeter.
What am I missing please.

have had this in the past, all you can do is trace the flow meter wiring to the pcb, if all ok then its a pcb fault, assuming you can hear the water coming in at a reasonable rate when it is filling.

Turned out to be broken wire to the flow meter.
