    Hi all,

I had some excellent help on the refridgeration forum, so I’ve come here for some oven advice. My Mum has an H222 Miele built in oven, and the oven fan no longer comes on when the fan oven programmes are selected. The fan heating element appears to be OK, in that you can see the glow reflected off the stationary fan.
Do you think that the fan motor has failed? If so, is the motor available as a separate item? Can I get one through the Shop?
She had been complaining about the pyrolitic cleaning not working properly, but is pretty pernickity about that kind of thing.
The other heating functions appear OK (normal oven and grill seem to operate correctly anyhow).
I’m pretty handy with DIY home appliances so should be able to handle component replacement and can test out circuits etc. but its a sod to get the thing out of the housing so i’d like to have an idea of what I’m up against.

She’s probably going to replace it some time next year, but as she’s had a few problems with this one (duff thermostat, main control switch breaking and some others), and it was bought new because of the brand reputation, she’s wary about getting another Miele. Was she just unlucky?

    All help gratefully received.

    Adrian
