Miele heat pump dryer time issue

Model T8164WP. Customer reports that the dryer adds time on after the clothes are bone dry. Apparently they see the time going down to 5/6 minutes then starts adding a couple of minutes on each time which can keep the dry cycle running for an hour or more after the clothes are dry, to which they then turn off the dryer. Clothes still hot to touch. I’ve changed the brushes on this earlier in the year, but not come across this fault before on a Miele. i did test on a programme and completed as normal so a bit stumped really. Any help appreciated.

have you checked for any leakage in the drum electrodes ?

do they use tumble dryer sheets like bounce as these can coat sensors on some machines and cause problems
