We have a Miele K9412i built-in larder fridge, which is about a year and a half old. Today we found that most of the veg in the bottom of the fridge was frozen (there was quite a lot of it -i.e. the drawers were packed full), and other items of food on the bottom half of the fridge were also affected, though the top half seemed OK.

We have not altered the temperature setting since we got the fridge – it was set fairly low and never caused a problem. (Needless to say, we turned the temperature setting up immediately we discovered the problem – even though we don’t know if that is actually the solution to the problem.)

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks

    Hi

If the Miele is only 18 months old I would look out your reciept for the date of purchase. Miele built in appliances have a two year guarantee.

Miele service can be contacted on 01235 554455.

    HTH 🙂

    Thanks, Don.

Fridge temp fell to -10, so something is obviously seriously wrong!

    Update:

We contacted Miele, and a gentleman came around and replaced what he called “the brain”. Miele apparently stipulate that this is what should be done in these circumstances.

Within a few days we were noticing the temperature fluctuating again. In fact it hit -12 one day. So we contacted Miele again. This time they replaced not only the “brain” but also the thermostat.

That was a couple of weeks ago, and so far, the fridge seems to be working OK.
