Hi All,we have a miele fridge freezer which woke us up in the middle of the night with the alarm going off, the temp light was flashing on the freezer section,i turned it off and on again, freezer is still cold but fridge and freezer are not as cold as normal,it seems fan in fridge is not starting and the compressor is hot too touch and is either on all the time or not at all, question, should i book the miele engineer at a cost of 249.99 all in or if unrepairable money back or go with a local engineer in derby but are unsure who too to trust, please help, fridge is 3 years old and i like it. ❓

As the fridge is only 3 years old I would go with the Miele repair.

If the fridge is not repairable you would have a good case for a contribution towards a new appliance as it has not reached its expected life for a Miele.

    Hi

You could also use a liebherr engineer as your appliance was and is in all purposes a liebherr appliance and the spares are the same but probably cheaper.

local engineer visted 35.00 cost = refrigerant leak in the fridge part causing the fridge inside to blown and the foam stuff on the back to get sucked in,
spoke to miele who want to send their own engineer out at a cost of 70.00 to verify the other engineers findings and they will see what they can offer but will not offer me any idea at the moment,

do i continue spending good money after bad or just buy i new one,,

what do people think of hotpoint had one in the past but they get a 5year parts guarentee.

    thanks
