MIELE KFN 8462 SD/KFN 8662SD/KFN 8862 SD FRIDGE FREEZER

Hi

My daughter came home from school yesterday to find the fridge/freezer alarm sounding and the temperature on the freezer section had changed from -18 to -1. We followed the troubleshooting suggestions in the manual and left overnight and this morning the temperature was back to
– 18. However, the temperature then proceeded to increase by 1 degree, seemingly every time the fridge door was opened (maybe that was just a coincidence) Tried turning off and on but that changed temp from -12 to
-6. Have been finding pools of water/blocks of ice in the bottom of the fridge recently if that has any bearing. Not sure hwat model it is but manual says 3 models quoted above. Please can anyone help me

Are there any signs of frost in the freezer?it sounds like you may have some sort of blockage at the rear of the freezer.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. There was a bit of frost at the rear of the freezer when I took the drawers out. Turned complete fridge/freezer unit off overnight, emptied freezer and left door open to defrost. Used straw to unblock drain in fridge. Have switched on this morning before coming to work and freezer showing 2 dashes (–) so hopeful it will have sorted it out. Will let you know
