Hi guys, I seem to have a minor fault on this hob where the H symbol is displayed when cold or doesn’t go off.

It’s a fairly minor fault and the hob is suberb otherwise so don’t want to change it…

I’ve noticed it also happens when you tap the hob and seems to affect all rings.

One fix is to switch on / turn one ring on and then switch off again on the hob itself.

Not opened it yet to look but just wondered if it’s an easy fix or not? (i.e. something loose or a dry joint etc)

    Mnay thanks.

hopefully a bad joint as the parts for these are very silly prices open it and remove and replace the temp sender plugs from the induction rungs

be careful its an indution hob with 300v dc power supplies and capacitors that hold charge even when its switched off

Thanks Dave… I did enquire about glass a while back as there is a slight chip and it’s over a grand – I love Miele stuff but that’s bonkers!

Thanks also for the advice / warning – I was thinking there would be some residual capacitance.

A ridiculous sum of money £1200. I suppose your`re expected to claim on house insurance especially if Miele are going to charge you 150 quid callout / labour for the first hour then 100 quid for the next. Bonkers indeed, crazy company?
