Recently I noticed that the conditioner was not going from the drawer during the Quick Wash program. I followed the advice on the UKwhitegoods site and cleaned the drawer and siphon but still no joy. I finally tried doing a cotton wash and the conditioner goes into the machine on that program. Re-tried the quick wash again and the conditioner failed to go into the machine. Can anyone suggest my next course of action please?

AS far as i know if it works on one wash it should work on both though some miele machines use a motor to change the direction of the inlet. I would first ask what conditioner do you use as some of the cheap gloopy conditioners don’t like to mix with water very well so if you use cheap conditioner try adding a little water to the bottle and shake first. Also make sure you don’t slam the soap draw shut as this sometimes creates a big enough wave to start the conditioner to drain itself

Thanks for the reply simon26r. We are using Comfort or Lenor and there wasn’t a problem in the past. I will admit that we use the quick wash on most occasions and that we tried the cotton wash just to see if it happened on that. I can’t say that we have tried on other wash cycles. The machine is over 20 years old so it may well be that investing in a new one may be more cost effective than trying to get the machine repaired. Does anyone know how much it is likely to cost to get a Miele engineer to investigate this problem?
