Miele or Siemens Washing Machine

I am about to purchase a new washing machine and cannot decide which of these 2 machines (Miele W4446 WPS or Siemens WIQ1635GB) would be the best long-term purchase. They both have 10 year guarantees and both have sophisticated electronic controls.
Which in your opinion has the best reliability and after sales service.
I have had Miele products in the past and was very happy with them.
But I must admit to slightly prefering the look of the Siemens.
Any help would be appreciated.

I personally would lean towards the Miele as I am a great admirer of their products and aftercare. The W4446 with it`s angled fascia and honeycomb drum just gives that little bit extra. However there are others on here who would say the Siemens :wink:. Both are good reputable manufacturers who supply quality products hence the long guarantee periods. Both machines are durable, easy to use and offer the user flexibility in use.

Although my experience with Miele in the past was positive. I am glad to hear that the Siemens is not underrated, having read elsewhere on this forum that they are a part of a large conglomerate who sell mid range machines.
With that in mind I shall probably go for the Siemens.
