    Hello,
A Customer of mine has a Miele single oven – Mod H6360BP. It’s approximately 5-7 years old. When the door is shut, a message pops up saying ‘close the door’, this is obviously stopping the oven from working.
On this model there doesn’t seem to be button switch around the frame of the oven that turns the oven on when the door is shut. However, the customer has a Miele combi oven next to it, and when you close the door 50{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the way on the combi, it triggers a switch that turns the oven on. I believe it could be this switch that is faulty on the single oven.
Do any of you know if in Miele ovens there is a switch in the hinges or part of the hinge receiver mechanism?

    Many thanks,
    Jack

that oven has a door locking device.. the trigger is probably at the top left of the cavity opening

lets hope the sw can be repaired as its a silly price

    Thanks for your response Dave.
This oven does have a locking mechanism, which is for the Pyrolytic function, it’s located in the top centre; I can’t see a trigger in the top left of the cavity though, I initially thought of it being there too. Judging by how the trigger works on the Miele combi next to it, I have a feeling it’s part of the hinge mechanism.
