ParticipantI’m new to the group, so a quick ‘Hi’ to everyone 🙂
My Miele Prestige Plus 6 (W562) has given trouble-free service for 12 years, then the Rinse light started flashing.
Having read other people’s W562 woes, I realised the PCB was likely knackered, so I replaced this with a new item from Miele, and also replaced the worn out motor brushes and shock absorbers too. On the Miele site, the original PCB part number (6708293) was shown as being superseded by 7005344, so this is the part I purchased as it was significantly cheaper then the original part number…Now the machine is back together the inlet and drain lights are flashing. I cleaned the filter – only very slight debris – and blew through a clear drain pipe.
When I run the drain/rinse programme, the drain motor works but not the motor. Also the LED timer doesn’t work anymore.
I’ve unplugged and re-checked the PCB connections and the brushes.I’m at a loss what to do next. Can anyone suggest any steps to resolve this, please?
Thanks for considering this post.

ParticipantDave, thank you for your response.
The trigger switch inside the float happily clicks away when depressed, but I appreciate this doesn’t count for anything.
I’ve ordered a new one from Miele. Fingers crossed…Just out of interest, Dave, what would be the next component to check if the same symptoms persist after this part is replaced??

ModeratorThis must cost you a lot. Ordering parts just in case is silly plus Miele know how to charge.
also when you said you checked the brushes are you certain they are in contact with the armature
