    Hi,

I have recently been getting a red light drain error appearing soon after the dishwasher starts which stops it from progressing. I have cleaned the water inlet filter and the impeller in the bottom of the machine as advised in the manual. After doing that I put it on a universal wash which actually worked and it finished properly, however when trying it again on normal the error re-surfaced. Is there anything else I could try or would I be better off replacing the machine as it is around 10 years old.

    Thanks

have you checked the base of the machine underneath the tub to see if its flooded
if its not integrated pull it out and slowly tilt machine bacwards. If you get water on the floor there is probably a leak that is setting off the anti flood device

Thanks for that, I will try what you suggested. If there isn’t any water on the floor are there any other things to try?

There is sitting water in the bottom of the machine in the filter basket area, should that be empty? When I took off the non return valve to check the impeller, a fair bit of water spurted out.

Wonder why it worked initially and then stopped on the second run. If there is a leak, is it curable?
