    Re: Miele Revolution 700

Really grateful to Paula8 and BluesBrother.

Our Miele Revolution was destined for the recycling facility until we discovered this forum and these contributions. Miele had quoted £99 just to come out and look at it, with no guarantee of success.

Have just dismantled the handle to find that the three sliding contacts were just clogged with fluff and dirt, but no trace of oxidation or corrosion. Once cleaned, the machine is working perfectly, with no hint of cutting out.

    Great stuff! 😀

    Re: Miele Revolution 700

Had the same problem about five years ago with my Revolution 500 and after a fruitless search for a remedy finally gave up and banished my Miele to the garage. Today I decided to have another go at fixing it and even looked on eBay for replacement motors. Fortunately I found this forum first. I opened up the handle (with some difficulty) and found the contacts coated in sticky dust. Gave the metal parts a good clean and (with some more difficulty) reassembled it. Miraculously I have a fully-functional vacuum cleaner again! So, many thanks.
