    Sorry, didn’t get mod nr.

Fills and then makes a surging noise for a couple of seconds about every ten seconds – sounds like it could be the circulation pump starting up. Also flashing light on control panel (sorry, can’t remember which one) goes from solid, flashes on and off four times and then goes to solid again.

De-integrated, removed side panels and it worked fine.

    I noticed the following:

When tipped back, half a cup full of water came out of somewhere – but definitely not from the base.

The waste and fill pipes were pretty crammed in.

After re-integrating it continued to work fine.

Only come across this with a dishwasher once before, and then the surging was a symptom of it needing a new soap dispenser.

Sorry to be so vague but this was a late visit, I was knackered and I still had an other job to attend. Any help gratefully appreciated.

May be a blockage in either the drain pump or the wash pump. If it’s the drain pump, you can normally check it from in the sump, there’s a clip securing a cover over the drain pump impellor. Circulation pump will stop & start a few seconds later if there’s not enough pressure registered on the high level pressure switch which is mounted near it. Quite easy to split the pump to check for blockages.

Revisited after customer reported not working again. It would fill completely, in short bursts but then display the ‘check drain/fill hoses’ error mssge.

Turns out it had been poorly installed and probably had never worked from day one. I re-routed the hoses, re-integrated and it works fine now.
