Miele T230C BLUE STAT BLOWING

I have just been out to one of these and replaced the “blue spot” stat above the heater, having cleaned a blocked condensor.

A few hours later customer calls back…..no heat!

I took the time to explain about air flow & not closing the door quickly mid cycle. I am guessing the stat has blown again.

Is there a reason for this blowing other than air flow?

Any comments appreciated 😀

Apparently……..some of the “blue spot” stats are of a higher temperature so it is important to order by model number – the higher temp stat has no blue spot I am told.

Another cause is that the motor capacitor – it has been changed to 8mf I think. The problem was that the drum would stall mid cycle making the stat get too hot and go oc.

Still have yet to solve mine though! going back tommorow & will report back 🙂
