Miele T230C Condneser Dryer – Empty Container light on.
I have had this problem for ages, was initially told it was the heat exchanger being clogged up that caused it, on closer inveestigation i found it was a build up of sludge under the drain pump which i was able to clean out and its working again now, i need to strip down the machine to clean out the water tray at the bottom, i have managed to get front and left side (when viewed from front) off, but cannot see a way of getting the white moulded plastic bottom tray out, any suggestions ?

Could still do with a dis-assembly guide for this machine, but while i am being patient waiting i will describe how to clear the blockage in the condensate pump.

1. At the back of the machine if you have plumbed this to an external drain remove the hose with some pliers.
2. Remove the pump cover with a small plastic spatular.
3. Grab hold of the drain socket and twist anti-clockwise (while pushing) to release the socket, inside tou will find a small ball and gasket, thoroughly clean these and lay to one side.
4. The pump assembly has 2 electrical connections, unplug these, on the righ use pliers to uncouple the drain hose coming down from the condenser drawer.
5. With both hands twist pump assembly anti clockwise towards you and carefully lift out then clean all the assemply well.
6. you will now have limited assess into where pump was, this is where i found lots of sludge, after scraping this out i had a good functioning dryer once again

Re-assembly is the reverse 🙂

Hope this helps someone as i have spent all weekend on it… lots of trial and error as numerous searches online didnt uncover the correct way to strip this machine

thanks for your notes on removing the pump – they helped me.
I can’t offer any more info on removing the tray I’m afraid, but was wondering if you got anywhere with dis-assembly notes?
I found a parts document online that includes an exploded view, but before I shell out £10 for it, thought I’d see if you found anything better? Link to parts doc is…

This all relates to my terrible tale of woe with my T230C, which I’m about to type up. If you have any thoughts I’d be grateful for them.
