Miele T230C Tumble Dryer

The appliance is removing water from the clothes, but not pumping the water up to the drawer. I have tested the pump and it is ok. I suspect the magnetic switch situated in the pump reservoir. Has anyone come across this? Also, there is a non return valve sort of arrangement, consisting of a chrome ball bearing in a tube, which is part of the sump. I’m not sure what this is supposed to do. Can anyone shed any light please? Cheers. Steve.

Yes theres a non return valve system, best thing to do is run a cable direct to pump from a plug just to test that the pump runs ok & theres no blockage. Fluff/dirt can foul the switch & pump inlet & cause fault described.

Thanks for your reply. I’ve done all that, and the pump runs and pumps up to the drawer. There are no blockages. I’ll have to give it another coat of looking at.
