Miele T234C Condenser Tumble Dryer

Replaced blue spot thermostat on heater. Customer phoned day later saying not heating again.
Drum turns ok, condenser clear.
Any ideas anyone please

Have had poor air flow cause this . Mae sure fan impeller is clean as it gets a build up of fluff also is condenser box clean & fitted correctly.

i had same problem with these t/d and it turned out to be a blocked condenser although when i arrived it was completely clear which threw me off the scent…but…on further interigation of the customer i discovered it was completely full of fluff and she had only just cleaned it. So advised cust to keep condenser clear and BINGO no more calls from this cust about this t/d…yippeee !!! 😆 😆

Hi mike had the same problem last week could not trace why it took out stat.Had to give her a refund as I didnt want to get my fingers burnt with this one .Let me know if you get to the bottom of it

Make sure you test it on “timed drying” as most of these will only heat for a few minutes (in auto) only if they sense the clothes are still damp. Check that the sensors (paddles) in drum are clean. These if they are covered in dirt & dust prevent the heater coming on in auto’ programmes. If you take off the top you will see a carbon brush running on a slip-ring. The contacts of the paddles on outside of drum should be checked & cleaned if necessary.

Thermostats beside heater would be my first thought to check & for blockages.
