miele t4262 c condenser dryer

hi
ive got a miele dryer that works fine on timer 20min dry, but on any automatic drying prog it only runs for 20 seconds then bleeps. heats up ok, the customer called miele and they said it was a faulty pcb control panel.
reading on the 2 thermistors seem ok
any thoughts

Check the carbon blocks that run on the drum if it has them
If they are worn and making poor contact will stop the machine, probably with the check filter lights flashing
