I have had a Miele T4262C tumble dryer for over 6 years but it has now stopped producing any heat. It has been used everyday for the last 6 years so I am not complaining as it has probably done 20 years. I would like the following advice:

What sort of price I am looking at to get it repaired; just a rough idea as I know there is not enough info to give a proper price.

Is it worth repairing, what if it goes wrong again with something else?

If I have to replace it what is the best Condenser dryer I could get for about 450 to 500 pounds?

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Either a heater or thermostats most probably but Miele parts are hard to get, expensive and technical information impossible. So most people know little about them apart from Miele even spares prices and, they’re not cheap to get out and look.

For the budget you have though you won’t get anything like the quality as a replacement.

could just be a thermostat,I have been able to reset these quite easily, shouldnt be too expensive to get repaired. These are quality appliances so keep hold of it

    Thanks for your responses.

Called Miele to get an engineer and this will cost £111 inc VAT including 1 hour of labour. As I have never called anyone out to repair anything this does not seem too bad. Obviously I have to pay for parts so it is starting to look pricey. Having said that I have previously thrown away Hotpoint and Bendix dryers as the repair was more than I paid for the dryer. I think if I pay £300 pounds and it lasts for another 6 years I think I had had my moneys worth?
