Miele T560C Tumble Dryer Condensed Wtr Container not opening

Hi,

When the condensed water container on the t560c is pushed into the machine, the water inlet clip on the container is not being pushed out of the way to allow water to get in – for the moment it is being held ‘open’ by matchsticks. I can’t find anything that shows me what actually opens the clip and therefore what to fix – nothing actually looks broken.

Any ideas please ?

Is it possible for you to take a picture of the container & where it fits in to & post it on here, perhaps someone will be able to see whats the problem then.

As far as I can remember the lid of container has a spring on it & is closed normally. When you push in the container in to place the water feed pipe comes in contact with the lid of container causing it to slide open, the water then goes in to continer.
Looking in with water container removed, you should be able to see this feed pipe.
It may be dislodged slightly or damaged.
