Miele T7644C Novotronic Condenser Tumble Dryer – Not Drying

This machine has had just over 2 years of light use by two pensioners so it cant be worn out.
The problem is, after loading, the machine begins the chosen program and heats-up but terminates the program usually after 5 to 10 minutes and shuts down.
It shows the ‘Clean out Airways’ message illuminated in red.
All fluff filters and the condenser are perfectly clear according to the manufacturers instructions. This occurs on all program settings.
This expensive machine is sold as ‘BUILT to LAST FOR 20 YEARS’ not 2 years.
I have spent a fortune on phone calls to the Miele helpline who keep you hanging on forever at premium rates. They suggested that I changed the factory setting on the ‘clean out airways’ indicator to an alternative setting. This did nothing. My local dealer said to clean the sensor strips in the drum with white-wine vinegar. This made no difference either.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
Just occasionally it will go through a full drying program perfectly.

Hi Talbot,

The lack of response is probably because we are not allowed access to any Miele technical information at all, you’re only choice is to call Miele and pay whatever ransom they demand pretty much.

Be prepared for a chunky bill though if it isn’t in warranty.

hi have you changed the 2 ntc sensors 1 intop heater box and 1 front fan chamber as these compare the balance between the 2and bring on fillter light and stop the machine
