Miele t8966 WP Dryer

Hi,
we have a Miele t8966 WP Dryer and has been working fine for 4-5 years. But it has just started misbehaving. We start a load and 5 mins later it asks for the water reservoir to be emptied even though it is not full. It does this a few times and eventually dries the load. We have noticed the lid on the reservoir does appear to be slightly out of shape. Has anybody any thoughts?

most condenser dryers have the water container at the top and the water has to be pumped up from the condenser. when the water condenses it falls into a tank, this tank has a float or sensor to detect when its full. if this tank becomes clogged with fluff or the pipe to the draw becomes clogged it does not drain properly and give a full draw signal when its empty

Thanks Dave,

have cleaned the pipe and all visable fluff, all OK so far.

If problem come back I’ll check the tank.
