ParticipantWe have a Miele tumble dryer model T240 with the reported fault not drying. On arrival, tested with load, found running for 10 mins then clean filter light comes on and shuts down. Tested heating element and thermistor, both ok. Vent is clean and clear, no blockage found. Any ideas? Module/relay?
Thanks

Have you checked the residual moisture sensor circuit?
When you say you tested it, did it heat, full heat, 1/2 heat?
There are 2 NTCs on these, one mounted in front ring/duct that you may have missedFebruary 24, 2011 at 3:33 pm #345527TonyMower
ParticipantChecked the ntc on the heater, that was ok. it runs full heat pulling about 10amps. I did miss the NTC in the front, not massively experienced with Miele. Wierdly it does work normally without the vent hose on, but im 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} sure there are no blockages of any sort, also vent is very short and completely direct outside.
The machine is not just thinking its done and finishing early, the vent warning light is coming on. basically it thinks it blocked up but its not.February 25, 2011 at 9:24 am #345528TonyMower

i’d double check that there isn’t a filter on the outlet in the house outer wall. sometimes you look from inside the house and see daylight but in fact its shining through a layer of built up lint. if it works o.k. without the tube on then something to do with the tube must be the cause.

Have you left it switched on after you say it has shut down? … Does it restart by itself after a while?

ParticipantDefinatley no blockages in vent, checked all.
I did leave it after it stopped for about 10 mins, it didnt restart by itself within this time.Added note though, first time i tested it heater pulled about 9Amps constantly untill it shut down. Second time i tested it, it regulated (heater switched on and off) and worked fine for a 30min test. Im still none the wiser with this. Ever known the heater relay contacts to stick intermittantly?
