I forgot to get the model number on this one for the time being.
It’s an W1 Miele washing machine, a new type with electronic touch display.
The machine randomly throws F49 error – it did this whilst I visited, a program had not been started, door not even shut when it happened.
It also doesn’t allow the user to select the TwinDos function, stating ‘Caps Dosage’ when selecting a program and viewing the program overview. There appears to be no option within the menus to select TwinDos (there was on an earlier type i worked on) – Then, all of a sudden, its will state TwinDos in the program overview, then it wont!
There is a leak of detergent under the TwinDos system.
I strongly suspect the TwinDos circuit board to be the culprit.
Anyone had experience of this particular code.
I’ve previously had F211 – which related to the Platinum sensor (little red wires) being faulty – and, as it happened, it was actually the TwinDos 1 circuit on the TwinDos module which was faulty. Replacing the TwinDos circuit board cured it.
Also… I have heard rumours that Miele recognise this as a manufacturer fault and are willing to cover the cost of repair, possibly even replacing the TwinDos system to a latest design? Any ideas if that’s true.
Thanks for your time.
Cheers all!
