    Hello everyone.
I have a Miele W1614 washing machine. It’s around 10 years old..Recently it was developed a problem which appears to be the power cutting out for a few seconds then coming back on repeating every few seconds…Makes it impossible to use.
It does not trip the electrics and no fault code appears!
I’ve checked most of the connections and had a general look around…Nothing is standing out as being an obvious problem.
Has anyone had a similar problem and able to help me..
any suggestions would be much appreciated…
    Many thank…John

I had a similar problem about 5 or 6 years ago. with mine it would come on and the programme would start but about 60 secs in the display would go out and would not return. if you switched off and back on then all would work again for 60 secs

turned out to be one of the power supply chips on the main printed circuit board

    Ok…Thank you Dave,
Mine is actually switching on and off every few seconds..it does continue with the cycle for the few seconds it is on.
How did you identify the exact faulty chip?
    thanks

may even be a blown cap with that fault

look at the board and look at the electrolytic caps (do a google search) if the blow quite often the bottom starts to bulge when it should be flat

my fault was a regulator chip around the bottom left of the board. I found it by measuring the voltage after the chip and realised it got lower over time till the board crashed
