Hi all
Just wanting some advice on this as I know that Miele like to do things differently to everyone else at times.
This Miele has got what feels like drum spider failure, I have already contacted Miele and got parts prices and the customer wants me to do the job.
Are there any hints or tips you can give me to make it easier, I have done this job on various Merloni, Electrolux and Beko machines and I am assuming that this is along the same technique, it looks like a case of completely stripping down the machine and then removing the tub assembly before I can get the drum out.
It looks like I can slide a couple of bars through the back panel and then a couple of rings on the drum to an indent in the front to hold the tub assembly while disconnecting the dampers and springs – is this advisable?
How is the spider held to the drum? Will I need some unusual tool for any bolt heads or does it have to be drilled out and replaced with something (if so what and do they supply the parts with the kit)?
Thank you
Jem
