Miele W340 washing machine, changing motor brushes

Have changed the motor brushes on some early Miele washing machines directly from underneath but the Miele W340 has a galvanised sheet metal bottom attached to it?
Which is the best way to attack this model to get the motor out and check the brushes and armature for wear chaps.
It was built in 2001 and have just had a quick look at the neighbours unit, does the side panel unbolt to gain access?

Front panel off, all done from front, motor brush module comes off from front of motor without taking complete motor off.

Will have a go tomorrow to see how far down the brushes are worn. Sounds like an easy way to repair things.
