miele w3830 washing machine-fill light flashing

Stops on rinse with the fill light flashing +3 dashes on the display.
Have checked the pressure bowl,cleaned & tightened filter .
the inlet valve checks ok.
Wondering if the water direction mechanism on top of the soap box is faulty?

The check inlet normaly means not filling in time or at all.
Being as water comes in on the wash cycle ok,& I can`t manually select rinse on this machine,can only assume there may be a blockage in the soap box device which changes the flow when the rinse cycle is reached?

Does it let in any water at all on the rinse and does this one have an aquastop? I did have one some time ago that was giving a very slow fill (water pressure was a bit marginal) and it would time out intermittently…new aquastop doubled the flow rate despite the low pressure. Could be it times out with the higher level of rinse?
