Hi Folks, went to a customers machine and the appliance was not filling with enough water I checked the pressure bottle which was totally blocked I cleared the bottle and then it filled to the correct level. I got a recall as the customer complained that the washing machine stuck on 20 minutes. If you cancelled the programme it would not spin If I disconnected the element and put it on a cold wash it would spin but still sticks at 20 minutes (the element and machine meggared out fine) but after half an hour the appliance would move on and complete the cycle.

Would advise that you go back and check that you have not dislodged wiring to heater NTC etc beside pressure vessel. I take it you disconnected the wiring to the heater when you tested it for continuity etc? Perhaps you did’nt connect them back up again, just a thought.

just a follow up to this problem. Yes we did check continuity on the element (always the first thing we do). I plugged in a new element and ran it through a spin cycle, which it did with out any problems. the connected back the old element and it went through a cycle no problems and that was a couple of weeks ago and I have spoken to the customer and he says the appliance is fine. There is nothing stranger than washing machines at times.
