Been to look at a Miele W504 which goes direct to full speed on spin & wash. Checked motor tacho, reads ok, looks ok, leads on motor look o.k. Suspecting main board, anyone know part number & price please.

before you scrap main board look for motor triac and see if it is short circuit

or ring EMW and see if they will look for you be a lot cheaper for this and more profitable as you can charge extra money for board repair

When you say you read the motor tacho, I expect you just metered it in ohms?
It’s a good idea to check for an output by attaching your leads to the terminals and monitoring the voltage as you turn the drum. (I can’t remember if you’re looking for ac or dc, the first I think, but try both.) It should rise as you turn faster. That way you’re checking the magnet and the coil. Better still would be to monitor it at board end of lead.

Hi Matey need serial number for part!
if you need to order a new board it will cost £319. 😯
motor is covered by a 10 year guarantee but Miele will have to call and fit that :rolls:

Yeah i tested the tacho by turning the drum. Ser’# 67956868. Gave her a quote for replacing board, when she came around after collapsing she got in touch wuth manufacturers. Think shes been talked into taking out an insurance which will cover cost of this repair & subseqent ones.
